About Me

My photo
The Candid Cyclist
Your everyday average passionate cyclist here. I started riding seriously when I was about 16 and my Huffy Wind was stolen and replaced with a Takara that was too small for me with a bent frame. That bike was sooo much better than the Huffy that I started riding more and more. I was a chubby kid and that bike started me down a path to be more the person I wanted to be. The Takara was traded for a Univega Viva Sport and then traded again for a newer version. Other bikes have come and gone but the Viva Sport is still going strong. My biking level went up and down for a few years until it took almost a 10 year rest. In 2009 I started up again and in 2012 I'm riding more than ever and more than everybody else I know combined.
