First Fatbike Beach Ride

Got to try the fatbike on the sand.

It went along really good.

Better than I thought really.

Then I started to run out of sand.

OK, so it wasn't a very long beach ride.

But the lake riding was very good.

Sometimes when you are expecting a good sunrise you have to settle for a babbling brook.  This is the second part in our babbling brook series.  This time a little longer.

Fatbike Monday, No Mountain Bike Monday...

No Fatbike Monday, No Mountain Bike Monday - NO: Fatbike Monday!

Which bike to ride?  That is often the question which also implies which shoes to wear.  I think I changed my shoes 4 times this morning trying to make that decision.  After going outside to check the snow conditions I came back and put on my mountain bike shoes and set off. After about 1/2 mile of road and 1/4 mile of trial later I turned around, went home and changed shoes one last time and tool the fatbike out.  It was the right choice for today.

Although it doesn't look like it, this could be the last trail ride to work of the season.  One of these times I'm going to be right.  I stopped to take a picture of a few dozen deer this morning but the remains of the old mill by the trail were slower so that's what I got.

I'm really needing a rest day but can't let these trails go to waste.
